Yew

A reliably hearty and shade-tolerant evergreen that can withstand pruning makes for a great hedge plant adding interest and structure year-round. They are very slow growers and come in many shapes and sizes so choose wisely. The bright green growth in spring offers a stark contrast to the dark green needles followed by bright red berries on the females.
